Ritual

Sculptures inspired by my own ritualistic-like routine to preserve, maintain and condition my hair. Head wraps and tight immortalized, each piece is unique constructed with the material at is core and the process being part of the final outcome. The choice of process, being of ancient origins supports the connection I have with my past and concern with truth and re-appropriation of black culture in our current climate.
